Tea Journey: Living Water

Living Water Brings Your Body to Life and it Brings Your Tea to Life Too

This month, Ritual & Tea members are diving into an exploration on water and I would like to share some highlights with you here. From the healing benefits of total hydration (one ounce of water per pound you weigh each day) to the curative minerals found in living water gathered from deep in the belly of the earth, water is an integral part of wellness and tea. Living water brings your body to life and it brings your tea to life too.

I cannot recommend Dr Masaru Emoto’s book The Hidden Messages in Water highly enough! In it, he captures the connection between water and human emotion and ties it into the health of our bodies and our planet. It is an illuminating and thought-provoking read.

Also, Your Body’s Many Cries for Water , in which Dr. F. Batmanghelidj explains how total hydration with clean water is the path to a healthy, pain and disease-free life, is incredibly inspiring. What if the mass of humanity really is just chronically thirsty and that a daily habit of hydration could cure most of modern diseases? It is worth some experimentation.

This month, think about using spring water (bottled in glass or delivered to your home by a local spring water distributor) for your tea. See how the tea comes to life! You can feel it on your tongue and in your body. I love Mountain Valley Spring Water from the Ozark Mountains.
