Old Tree Teapot

This masterfully-crafted, wood-fired, side-handle teapot is a small-sized pot with a tree bark surface. Unglazed inside and outside, the surface was colored and decorated by the flames in the wood-fired kiln.

She is a warm piece with a compact form, rich character and stories to tell! Her pour is clear and fast and she holds 7 ounces/ 200 mL of tea, making her a perfect choice for 1-3 people.

Every tea lover knows that the masters work is evident in the pour of the tea from the spout, the feel of the bowl in your hands, the weight of the clay and all of the ineffable details of craftsmanship that make a piece sing. This piece is an embodiment of such mastery.

This pot serves 1-4 bowls and more can be served with smaller bowls or cups like our Heaven and Earth teacups.

Usage and care: Hand wash with warm water only after each session. Allow to air dry on a clean cloth. Store away from other kitchen wares in a tea cabinet or on a tea shelf or table.
