Shinto Matcha

$37.00

30 grams of organic ceremonial grade matcha per pouch.

SHINTO Japan's indigenous faith, holds the belief that Spirit resides in all of Nature from her rocks to her rivers to her tea. Shinto rituals involve cultivating positivity through prayer, purification and the preparation of a beautiful bowl of tea.

MATCHA  (powdered Japanese green tea) is the tea served in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. This one is a ceremonial grade organic tea from Aichi, an area rich in Shinto heritage.

Matcha is loved for its immense health benefits, its ability to bring you into Zen Mind and its versatility. For the body, Matcha is rich in antioxidants, chlorophyll, fiber, vitamins and minerals. It will help you lose weight and fight disease. For the mind, it is high in concentrated amino acids like L Thenine which increases the alpha waves in the brain that give you calm focus, a mediative mind. The caffeine in matcha releases slowly into the blood stream so that you experience calm alertness for a sustained period of time. This is because the caffeine binds to the catechins in the leaf which cause a slow release. It is simple to prepare and can be used to make all kinds of hot and iced drinks.

Follow the Matcha Ritual below and from there, use your imagination to create!
