Water Rabbit/ Organic GABA Oolong

Organic GABA Oolong embodies compassion, abundance, beauty, peace, ease and flow.

I have fallen in love with this tea and find myself sipping it casually in the morning, in ceremony and in the evening after I put the kids to sleep. Its fragrance brings me a luxurious sense of abundance and delight and its energy is deeply relaxing; it feels like floating on fragrant clouds!

GABA Oolong

GABA (gamma aminobutyric acid) is a naturally occuring compound in tea. It blocks the stress response in the brain and has been proven to calm the mind and to alleviate fear, anxiety, worry and stress. GABA Oolong is produced in a nitrogen chamber that creates an anaerobic environment in which the tea can oxidize, thus amplifying GABA levels in the leaf!

Steeping:

Most oolongs, including this one, are best steeped in a small pot (a shiboridashi, houhin or gong fu teapot which allow for multiple infusions) and served in small tea cups.

Steep 2 teaspoons in 4-5 ounces of almost boiling water for 5-20 seconds each steep, increasing the steeping time with each infusion. Makes up to 8 infusions.
