Long before tea was a beverage, it was considered a meditation aid and a medicine not only for the body but also for the mind and the spirit. In order to amplify this medicine, people created sacred tea moments, spaces, rituals and ceremonies. Tea became a practice, like yoga, a time to pause, to reconnect and to come home to one's self.

Before we can understand tea as a ritual, we must first understand ritual- what it is and how it works.

  • Come to understand the basis of tea as a practice.
