Sarah Scarborough, founder of Tea Huntress, is a tea buyer, herbalist, yoga teacher, and Reiki master with over 30 years of experience. From childhood foraging with her grandmother to studying tea traditions around the world, she blends cultural knowledge and mindful practice to guide students in creating personal tea rituals for wellness, meditation, and everyday mindfulness.

Part 1 - Tea is a Goddess (Foundations & Philosophy)
  • What is tea — definition, botanical roots (Camellia sinensis), and what makes “true tea.
  • The global story: tea’s origins and journey across cultures — why tea matters historically and spiritually.
  • Tea as medicine, ritual & nourishment for body, mind, and spirit — exploring tea’s deeper meaning beyond beverage.
Part 2 - Tea Types & Energetics — Understanding the 5 Main Types
  • Overview of the main true tea types: white, green, oolong, black, pu‑erh / fermented — what defines each type.
  • How processing (oxidation, fermentation, aging) influences flavor, energy, and effects.
  • How to match tea to your time of day, season, mood, and intention — selecting teas for energy, calm, digestion, grounding, etc.
Part 3 - Steeping Workshop — How to Brew a Great Cup
