Cha qi is tea energy or life force and Spirit Dance, having been harvested from “mother trees” south of Mengku, Lincang, where the oldest and most primitive trees grow wild, is bursting with it.

A tea for celebration and ceremony, Spirit Dance is an incredibly powerful and dynamic Sheng, or ”raw”, Puerh harvested in 2012 in Bingdao Village. It was made from early first flush growth leaves, which gives it a delicate orchid aroma that will deepen over time.

Steeping Method:

Shiboridashi, Sidehandle or Daily Teapot

Place 1 teaspoon per person in a teapot. Rinse the leaves by pouring hot water into the pot and then immediately discarding the water. Pour 5 ounces of hot water per person over the leaves. After one minute, decant the tea into cups. Resteep up to 10 times by refilling the pot with hot water for each infusion. Adjust the amount of tea, water temperature and steeping time to suit your taste.
