Sumac Wax Ritual Candles

Japanese ritual candles made by the artisans at Daiyo date back to 1914. For over 100 years, Daiyo’s craftsmen have meticulously rolled each candle by hand using Mother Nature’s ingredients only:

Local sumac wax

Hand rolled WASHI paper

Rush weeds

Silk fibers

These candles have the ability to shift not only the energy of a space, but also a person’s mood, sense of being, and emotional state. Daiyo's principle "from monologue to dialogue" draws on the candle providing possibility for deep human to human encounters. The tradition and connection between flame and human beings is passed down with honor and respect.

We recommend pairing with the Circle Candle stand, sold separately.

*tip: drop a few drops of hot wax onto the needle of the stand before placing the candle onto the stand for best results*
